Shadow Work (SOLD)
12"x 12" - Watercolor and Gold Metallic Acrylic on Paper Mounted on Wood Panel

The Seeker reclines in a velvet fortress of her own making, focusing on trifles and turning her back on the window of gnosis. Her comportment belies the suppressed trauma and calcified fears she has stashed under the cushions of her vanity. She is content within the comfortable discomfort of her material sanctuary, where the potent Kundalini serpent is domesticatingly coiled around her shoulders. Yet, she resists its integration, distrusting the power it would release. Outside in the light, a silent sentinel gestures for an awakening that the fearful, ego-bound soul continues to ignore.

However, when the brooding tempest of the subconscious breaches the facade and that which is hidden rises upon the waves, only by relinquishing resistance will the Seeker survive. She must gather the skeletal remains of her past and forge a spine that can withstand the force of Kundalini as she is impelled into the power of her awakening.
